Company Update - Changing to Pure Water Fed Pole System

IMPORTANT UPDATE - PLEASE READ UNTIL THE END

McCann Cleaning Services has grown significantly over the last 3 years which has meant we are now at a point where change is needed for us to continue to grow and function more effectively as a business.

We have more staff, more overheads and now we have more health and safety obligations to adhere to as we grow. So this change will keep our staff safe and help us to continue to grow as a modern cleaning business

The Work at Height Regulations 2005 (WAHR)  dictates that you must avoid working at height whenever it is reasonably practicable to do so.  I.e cleaning windows from the ground using a water-fed pole).

We have made a decision to use a Water Fed Pole System moving forward rather than traditional cleaning method (there are some exceptions*). This change won’t affect all customers as some are already cleaned by our Water Fed Pole System in Full or partly. This method of cleaning is used by 95% of current window cleaners but we appreciate some of our customer perfer the traditional method. We understand that’s why you choose us.

This change does not mean you have to change to our Water Fed Pole System but we strongly encourage this options for the reasons detailed.

*Exemptions to change over - We understand we have taken onboard properties that are old /aged in terms of their windows and therefore the Water Fed Pole System maybe not suitable which we fully understand. So your method will remain traditional but there will be future price increase for this bespoke service.

Traditional cleaning method - To confirm we will still carry out traditional cleans however this will need to be a separate van/operation due to the legal requirements. So please bear in mind if you choose to stay with the traditional cleaning method you will see prices increases to cover this specialist side of the business. Some customers are already locked into a price which is due to be reviewed October 2027 after the 2 year period. So prices will not change for now if you fall into this category.

REASONS TO CHANGE - To clarify we will still use our cloths to wipe bottom frames unlike other companies and standards will remain high. This method of cleaning is great if you have the right machinery and the knowledge to use them, unlike other companies that buy equipment but have no window cleaning experience.

So to confirm we will  automatically move everyone to a Water Fed Pole System clean after our next visit. (Unless you opt out as below)

You’re welcome to opt out of the change over however please note there will be future price increase for traditional cleans as detailed above that will help increase as we feel appropriate. Please ensure you text Matt on 07908680261 if you do not want to switch over to our new cleaning method .

If we don’t hear back from you the new Water Fed Pole System cleans will begin next time we visit.

We appreciate all your custom and hope you understand our position and reason for the change.

Kind regards

Matt & Danny
